Fresh Wind. Impressionism in the Nordics

The project is finalised! We have reached 100% - a big thank you to everyone who supported us!

Your contribution will help us significantly in our efforts to create the exquisite anniversary exhibition Fresh Wind. Impressionism in the Nordics (June 9th to November 3rd 2024) and the accompanying catalogue.

Impressionism hit France in the 1860s like a fresh wind and led to a fundamental re-orientation of the art of painting, also in the rest of Northern Europe. Altogether, more than 80 painting and oil studies of the highest artistic calibre created by German, Danish and Dutch impressionists, including truly magnificent artist like Anna Ancher, Jo Koster, Max Liebermann, Johan Barthold Jongkind and Peder Severin Krøyer, will present the then brand new thematic fields (light, beach, garden, city etc.). Come and feel the same enthusiasm that these artists felt for fleeting formations of light and the leisure activities or travel experiences of the past!

The exhibition and the catalogue are made in collaboration with the Dutch Singer Laren Museum and Niedersächsisches Landesmuseum in Hannover.

The comprehensive exhibition and its catalogue are associated with huge expenses. The expenses are related to climate-controlled art transport, insurance of the artworks, book production and security technique. We would be immensely grateful if a part of these expenses could be covered through donations.
